HydroLynx plumbing crew on Christmas Island — hydraulic infrastructure works
Christmas Island & Cocos (Keeling) Islands

We build and maintain the plumbing systems Christmas Island relies on.

Rapid-response maintenance, compliance and project delivery on Christmas Island and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands — for government, health and facilities-management clients, delivered by our own crew: local people we train, license and employ on the islands.

Remote fitBuilt for hard-to-service facilities

Four service areas. One accountable contractor.

Hydraulic, plumbing and coordinated trade support across the full lifecycle of water assets in remote facilities.

Water & hydraulic systems

Potable water systems, hot water plant including solar pre-heat and electric boosters, circulation pumps, TMVs, PRVs, RPZD and backflow prevention devices, backflow testing and certification, and water-quality monitoring support. Licensed and locally based for rapid response.

Wastewater & stormwater

Sewer pump stations, sewer rising mains, wastewater and stormwater systems, from scheduled servicing through to full station upgrades, commissioned and documented on site.

Maintenance & response

Planned maintenance programs, asset inspections and asset tracking, defect tracking, reactive plumbing and hydraulic repairs, and emergency response with local coordination for hard-to-reach assets.

Compliance & documentation

SWMS, JHA and prestart documentation, service reports with photos, O&M manuals, as-constructed records and commissioning documentation — issued promptly after every job.

The crew

We build the systems — and the people who keep them running.

HydroLynx is a small licensed crew based on Christmas Island: tradesmen, apprentices and trainees who live in the community they serve. We train our own people, put real licences behind every job, and back the crew with a safety and quality system most small contractors never build.

Director & licensed contractor

Gregory McIntosh — licensed plumbing contractor (PL8024) and Class G gasfitter. Over 35 years experience.

Works Supervisor

Licensed plumber and Class G gasfitter, leading high-risk and complex work in the field.

Works Coordinator

Licensed plumber running day-to-day scheduling, dispatch and client coordination.

Apprentices & trainees

Local young people on supervised gasfitting permits and structured training — building real trade careers without leaving the island.

It's how we deliver for government contracts that call for local content: apprenticeships, traineeships and local jobs that don't depend on fly-in support.

How we run

A small crew running big-company systems.

Remote infrastructure doesn't forgive sloppy paperwork or unsafe shortcuts. So we built the management system ourselves — and use it every day, on every job.

Safety management system

A full WHS management system aligned to ISO 45001, live across the crew: daily pre-starts, Take 5 safe job planning and SWMS on all high-risk work.

Licensed, verified crew

Every licence held on a live register and verified against the WA licensing regulator, with renewals tracked before they lapse.

Digital field portal

The crew log in on their phones for forms, SWMS sign-on and job records. No paper chaos, no lost records.

Structured supervision

High-risk work is always double-checked by a second supervisor before it proceeds.

Training we invest in

Trade training, gas licensing pathways, asbestos awareness and role-based competency for every crew member.

Records on every job

Photos, service reports and close-out documents captured as the work happens — not reconstructed afterwards.

For contract managers, FM teams and asset owners

Built for the people who assess contractors.
